Megan E. Shaw is an attorney with Parrish & Goodman, PLLC, where she handles a broad range of civil matters, including personal injury, business law, contract disputes, estate planning, landlord–tenant issues, and legal malpractice. She particularly enjoys the analytical and writing aspects of her practice, often drafting complex motions and legal memoranda and contributing to appellate work within the firm.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Ms. Shaw earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Criminal Justice in 2008. She began her legal career as a paralegal at two personal injury firms before attending Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando, where she graduated cum laude and a semester early in December 2012. She passed the Florida Bar on her first attempt and was admitted to practice in April 2013.
Following law school, Ms. Shaw gained valuable experience in both business operations and estate planning before joining The Nunez Law Firm in 2016. There, she focused exclusively on personal injury matters, first in Orlando and later in Fort Myers, where she opened and managed the firm’s local office. Her experience in that role strengthened her practical understanding of client relations, case management, and the business side of running a law practice.
Since joining Parrish & Goodman in 2021, Ms. Shaw has expanded her practice and developed a passion for legal research, writing, and mentoring clients through complex legal issues. She values the boutique and collaborative nature of the firm, where she maintains close communication with clients and prides herself on being accessible and responsive.
Beyond her legal practice, Ms. Shaw is an active member of the Southwest Florida legal community. She serves as Treasurer of the Lee County Association of Women Lawyers and is a member of the Calusa Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son, volunteering through his school’s PTA, and pursuing her creative interests in crafting and lifelong learning.
